Business and Economy Advisory Committee

Council’s newly formed Glen Eira Business and Economy Advisory Committee (BAEAC) is looking for expressions of interest (EOI) from diverse members of the Glen Eira business community. 


COVID-19 rates for financial hardship

Rates support for local businesses (and residents) in Glen Eira who are experiencing difficulty in paying rates because of the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

BAP- Free counselling for business owners

The Business Assist Program  (BAP) is set up by Glen Eira City Council.  It is a free, professional and confidential, self-referral counselling service for Glen Eira Businesses.

Following the extended lockdown Glen Eira City Council will be extending this service to businesses throughout Glen Eira. This service is delivered through the EAP (Employee Assist Program).

Businesses in Glen Eira can contact BAP at 1300 687 327. This initiative is only available to Glen Eira businesses.


Outdoor trading

It's now simpler than ever to apply for your outdoor trading permit and have chairs, tables, windbreaks, display of goods or other furniture on the footpath.

Business listing

As part of its commitment to supporting local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic Glen Eira City Council is facilitating a business listing where local businesses can provide details such as current offerings or services and opening hours.
