How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

For the continued good health of our community and as a measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we have:

  • turned off drinking fountains and barbecues
  • suspended bookings for our venues, parks or reserves until further notice.
Our playgrounds, outdoor gyms, skate park, netball courts, basketball hoops are now open and sportsgrounds are open to approved sports clubs. People should not gather in groups of more than 20, and stay 1.5 metres apart from others where possible.

Note: Playgrounds will now be included in Citywide’s Working for Victoria cleaning blitz which is funded by the State Government. Council will also undertake regular cleaning of all playground equipment and other high touch surfaces. We strongly encourage the community to still take their own precautions and practice safe hygiene. For further information on the cleaning blitz, visit Citywide's website.

The timber playground includes:

  • slides
  • climbing ropes
  • monkey bar rings
  • orbit spinner
  • swings
  • bird swing
  • trees (that provide natural shade for hours of play)

There is a public toilet facility located beside the pavilion, close to the rail line. This toilet is approx. 120m from the playground and 250m from the multipurpose sports courts.
