Marlborough Street Reserve

Marlborough Street Reserve is a quaint suburban park with a sportsground, playground and picnic area that's ideal for relaxing with family and friends.

How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

For the continued good health of our community and as a measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, in line with Government restrictions, we have:


  • closed our playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment and skate park until further notice
  • restricted use of drinking fountains and barbecues
  • suspended bookings for our venues, parks, picnic shelters and sports facilities until further notice.

Some sports facilities remain available to support active recreation during lockdown, we encourage people to be active in our parks but otherwise Stay at Home. When you are out in parks, remember that you cannot gather with more than one person outside your household and must stay 1.5 metres apart from other users. You can use the:


  • athletics track at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve
  • cycling velodrome and lawn bowls at Packer Park (BYO bowls)
  • netball and basketball hoops and tennis hit up walls
  • golf birdie cages and cricket training nets
  • sportsgrounds and Pawfield Park (dog off-leash park in Caulfield)

Lighting will be provided from 5pm to 7.30pm for night time sport and recreation activity at the following locations:


  • Caulfield Park, Caulfield North and Princes Park, Caulfield South (Camden Ward)
  • EE Gunn Reserve, Ormond and Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Murrumbeena (Rosstown Ward)
  • McKinnon Reserve, McKinnon and King George VI Memorial Reserve, Bentleigh East (Tucker Ward)

Playground

A great playground for younger children includes: 

  • slides and swings
  • springer
  • climbing equipment
  • educational panels
  • spinner
  • shade sails for protection from the sun

Active recreation

Marlborough Street Reserve has opportunities for recreation including:

  • sports ground (soccer)
  • open space

Did you know? Marlborough Street Reserve is home to East Bentleigh Soccer Club.

Dog leash information

  • The western side of the park, on the sportsground, is and off-leash area.
  • The eastern side of Marlborough Street Reserve (closest to Malborough Street) is an on-leash area. This on-leash area includes the playground.

Book and reserve a picnic shelter

To apply online you will need to create an account or login. The cost to book a picnic shelter starts at $143.

The full booking fee payment is required within 48 hours of receipt of invoice. 

You are required to email us proof of payment if your booking has been approved within 48 hours notice from your booking date.

Equipment such as marquees, jumping castles, petting zoos and BBQs are not permitted without written consent from us. 

Please note:  A minimum notice of 2 business days is required for all bookings (subject to availability).

BBQs are a free communal facility for all users of the park. They are not included as part of a picnic shelter reservation.
