Council is currently seeking feedback on a draft Masterplan for Lord Reserve and Koornang Park in Carnegie. The draft Masterplan can be viewed online via Council’s Have your Say consultation page — www.haveyoursaygleneira.com.au/lordkoornang — where you can also provide feedback via the open forum. Other ways to provide feedback on the draft Masterplan include via email recservices@gleneira.vic.gov.au or by contacting our Recreation and Open Space department on 9524 3333.

 

The opportunity to provide feedback on the concepts is available until Wednesday 12 June 2019. 

Whether you prefer to relax or get into some heavy exercise, Koornang Park has something for you. It also neighbours the Carnegie Swim Centre, so you can combine a swim with some outdoor exercise or relaxation.

Playground

The playground has a range of activities for all ages. Equipment includes:

  • slides
  • hanging disks, monkey bars and a climbing frame
  • swings
  • fireman's pole
  • walkway up to a higher structure
  • educational panels
  • shade sails over part of the playground for protection from the sun

Picnic shelter and BBQs

The picnic shelter is located close to the playground, with 2 picnic tables available for social gatherings. There are BBQ facilities nearby to the picnic shelter to add another element to your picnic.

Please note: Fees apply and a minimum of 5 business days’ notice is required for all bookings. BBQs are a free communal facility for all users of the park. They are not included as part of a picnic shelter reservation.

Did you know? Koornang Park is home to Caulfield Football Club, Caulfield Junior Football Club and Carnegie Cricket Club.

Dog leash information

  • Koornang Park is an on-leash area at all times.
  • Neighbouring Lord Reserve offers extensive opportunities for dog off-leash areas.
