Time to shine a spotlight on our volunteers

Now is the chance for your organisation to put forward volunteers who stand out in making a difference to the lives of others.

Glen Eira City Council’s Volunteer Recognition Program is now open and we’re asking community groups and not-for-profit organisations to nominate their volunteers and thank them for their important work in building a strong and inclusive community.

Volunteers provide the opportunities, assistance and support that many people need to participate in community life. They provide a diverse, skilled and ready workforce to sustain the valuable work of our not-for-profit organisations and community groups.

Community groups and non-profit organisations that provide community based services benefiting Glen Eira residents, can nominate up to 15 of their volunteers to receive special recognition under eight service categories.

Nominations close on Friday 10 March 2023. The nominees will be honoured at Council’s annual Community Awards event to be held during National Volunteer Week beginning Monday 15 May 2023. For more information on the Program and nomination process, visit www.gleneira. vic.gov.au/vr

If you have any questions about the Program or how to nominate your volunteers, please email communityawards@gleneira.vic.gov.au or call 9524 3333.
