Last week Council approved a shortlist of potential purchasers for its three residential aged care facilities — Spurway, Rosstown and Warrawee.
The shortlisted providers will now be invited to submit full applications to be reviewed by an Evaluation Panel before returning to Council for a decision. This is expected to occur in October.
Council’s position on the sale of our residential aged care facilities remains unchanged. Council will only sell to a specialist provider that will honour the current resident agreements, has a proven ability to provide quality aged care, has high employee and resident satisfaction levels and has the financial capacity to invest in the facilities.
We will continue to keep residents, their families and the community updated at key milestones in the sale process.
