In accordance with rule 17 of the Glen Eira City Council Governance Rules, a Special Council meeting of Glen Eira City Council will be held at 5.00pm on Tuesday 18 November 2025. 

Council has lodged its submission in response to the Victorian Government’s Activity Centres Program — Stage One Phase Two: Sharing Our Draft Maps. The draft maps released by the Victorian Government identifies the core and residential catchment area boundaries and associated building heights for the activity centres of Carnegie, Murrumbeena and Hughesdale. However, limited information has been provided to explain how future development in these centres will be managed.

We’re here to represent community voices and deliver services that support everyday life — from parks and libraries to maternal health, waste collection and support for our youngest and oldest residents. But we can’t do it alone.

In accordance with section 54 of the Road Management Act 2004 and regulation 13 of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2016 (‘Regulations’), Glen Eira City Council (the road authority) gives notice that, following public consultation, it amended its Road Management Plan in accordance with the Regulations and incorporated the amendments into the Road Management Plan on 29 September 2025.  

The Victorian Government is seeking community input on how our local activity centres should grow — including Caulfield, Glen Huntly, Ormond, Bentleigh and Elsternwick.

Glen Eira City Council has updated its long-term Financial Plan — a milestone that marks a shift in how Council tackles its financial future and the choices ahead.
