The 2024 Glen Eira City Council election will be held on Saturday 26 October. The 2024 local government election period begins at 12pm today and will run until 6pm Saturday 26 October 2024.

Following community engagement earlier this year, Council has endorsed amendments to the Canopy Tree Protection Local Law to protect one of the most vulnerable parts of the urban forest — trees on private property.

Councils working together to deliver valued services

Bayside Deputy Mayor Alex del Porto, Bayside City Council CEO Mick Cummins, Glen Eira City Council CEO Rebecca McKenzie and Glen Eira Mayor Anne-Marie Cade formalising the agreement.

In a display of cross-council collaboration, we have signed the agreement for Bayside City Council to deliver in-home and social support services on behalf of Glen Eira.
