During this year’s Seniors Festival, we will be hosting our first Glen Eira Healthy Ageing Expo. The event will showcase programs, services and products to promote healthy ageing. The Expo will be on Friday 31 October at Glen Eira Town Hall — the final day of the 2025 Seniors Festival.

Glen Eira City Council (‘Council’), acting under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 proposes to sell the previously discontinued road at the rear of 61 and 63 Downshire Road and 54 and 56 Shoobra Road, Elsternwick, which is shown hatched on the plan.

I am appalled and heartbroken by the attack on the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation during Shabbat and hate-filled protests at the Miznon Restaurant in the Melbourne CBD.

The Victorian Government’s decision to approve the development at 10–16 Selwyn Street with increased tower heights and without any commitment to ongoing community involvement is a setback for the Elsternwick community. 

Glen Eira City Council (Council), acting under clause 3 of schedule 10 to the Local Government Act 1989 (Act), proposes to discontinue the road abutting 1A Florence Street, 2/1 Florence Street and 357 Koornang Road, Ormond shown as Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3 on the plan below, being part of the land in certificate of title volume 11520 folio 145 (Road).

Our Budget 2025–2026, Revenue and Rating Plan 2025–2029, Strategic Property Plan 2025–2030 and Biodiversity Plan 2025–2029 were endorsed at the Council meeting on 30 June.
