Annual Report showcases results for our community

We're proud to share that the 2025–2026 Annual Report was adopted at this week's Council Meeting.

This past year marked the beginning of our new Council Plan 2025–2029, shaped by thousands of community voices and setting a shared vision for Glen Eira's future.

In the Report, you'll find highlights across all areas, including the services we've delivered, the assets and infrastructure we've built and maintained and the partnerships we've strengthened. Above all, the Annual Report is about people. It showcases the collective efforts of those who contribute every day to making Glen Eira a great place to live, work, learn and connect.

Some highlights from the year:

  • We worked with our community and key stakeholders to develop Glen Eira's Antisemitism Strategy 2026–2028, making Glen Eira the first Victorian local government to take this proactive step.
  • From neighbourhood parks such as Murrumbeena Park and Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve to local roads and community facilities, our commitment to building a better Glen Eira came to life through 71 capital works projects and $20.9 million in investment this year.
  • Getting around became safer and easier, with 12,500 square metres of footpaths renewed and approximately 23,000 metres of trip hazards removed across the municipality.
  • Community members turned sustainability into action through programs such as Waste Champions, Sustainability Champions and Repair Cafes, helping reduce litter, repair and reuse household items, improve recycling and care for the local environment.
  • Our ability to deliver more for the community was strengthened this year, with $5.9 million secured in external funding, supporting local infrastructure, community safety, and infrastructure projects.
  • From Diwali Festival of Lights to Groove and Graze and Carols in the Park, we were proud to have 20,364 members attend the events that brought us together through culture and diversity.
  • Through 26 engagement opportunities, 20 projects, and more than 8,400 pieces of feedback received — our community is helping shape Council decisions and priorities.
  • Our commitment to a greener future took root this year through the planting of more than 13,000 Indigenous trees and understory species.

There's much more to celebrate. Discover our full year of achievements in the Annual Report.
