Glen Eira’s 2024–25 Annual Report is now available!

We’re excited to share that our 2024–25 Annual Report was officially endorsed at last night’s Council Meeting.

This report celebrates the hard work, achievements, and dedication that have shaped our community over the past year. It also marks the final chapter of our 2021–25 Council Plan, highlighting how together we’ve built a more connected, sustainable, and vibrant Glen Eira.

Inside, you’ll find stories and highlights from across all areas of Council — from the services we deliver and the infrastructure we maintain, to the partnerships we’ve strengthened. We’ve faced challenges head-on, including rising costs and evolving community needs, by embracing collaboration and innovation to continue delivering real value.

Here are some highlights from the year:

  • Reopening the redeveloped Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool.
  • Securing more than $27 million in new public open space, including on Mimosa Road in Carnegie and the Elsternwick Club site.
  • Hearing from thousands of community members through community engagement activities, including the Our Place, Our Plan program, to support the development of the next Council Plan and other long-term plans.
  • Progressing structure planning and advocating for local planning controls in response to state-level changes affecting Glen Eira’s major activity centres.
  • Advancing our climate emergency response, including securing a $6.5 million grant to electrify Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre, signing new and innovative waste contracts, and launching of our first Biodiversity Plan.
  • Delivering over 12,000 Key Ages and Stages visits through our seven maternal and child health centres, supporting families through critical early development milestone.
