Cooking oil containers (empty)

Once empty, cooking oil containers can be recycled in the yellow recycling bin.

The packaging of household cooking oils (olive oil, canola oil, etc.) can typically be recycled. Recyclable containers include:

Glass bottles and jars
Plastic bottles
Bulk tins

Recycling bin yellow lid

Empty oil spray cans, such as non-stick or cooking sprays, are aerosols. As such, they go in the red general waste bin.
