Repair café

Do you have something in your home that you’re sure can be fixed or repaired, if only you knew how?

A Repair Café is an event for community members to bring in worn out or broken belongings to see if they can be repaired instead of thrown away. Volunteers share their time and skills to fix items as best as they can or provide advice.

Have an item that needs repair but aren’t quite sure how to fix it? Bring it along to our Repair Café.

Areas of expertise for the volunteers include:

  • small appliances and electronics
  • textiles
  • woodwork
  • costume jewellery
  • bikes

Our Repair Café events are a friendly and welcoming space – a place to connect over a cuppa, learn about the art of repair and share stories about treasured pieces.

Bookings essential.

If you’d like to support the Glen Eira Repair Café, consider volunteering. Email gercinsmates@gmail.com to express interest or to learn more.
