COVID-19 update:

On Sunday 6 September 2020, the Premier announced Victoria’s COVID-19 roadmap to reopening. Many of the Stage 4 restrictions remain in place but there have been some slight changes. Find out more here.

Marara Road Reserve

Marara Road Reserve is an activated road reserve located in Caulfield South. It runs east-to-west along Marara Road. It links a shared path between Princes Park and EE Gunn Reserve. The well landscaped Marara Road Reserve also provides seating and outdoor fitness equipment.

How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

Our parks and open space remain open for exercise between the permitted times 5am to 9pm.


Exercise is now limited to two hours per day and no more than five kilometres from your home. Two people or a household can meet outdoors for a maximum of two hours for exercise or recreation outside your home, as long as neither of you travel more than five kilometres from your home. Always remember to wear a face covering and practise social distancing.

UPDATED 14 SEPTEMBER 2020

Marara Road Reserve is anything but your standard road reserve. The width and length of this road reserve allow for a variety of different uses, including:

  • custom seating and picnic tables to provide social gathering spaces to encourage meeting, playing, picnicing and relaxing
  • a throughfare of mature plantings, complemented by colour and varied garden beds
  • an outdoor fitness station with an array of equipment, located towards Narrawong Road
  • bike repair station, bike hoops and drink fountains
