This large Flax Leaf Paperbark tree is a particularly large, healthy and well-formed example of the species, having achieved its potential within the constraints of a nature strip. Although fairly typical of the species, it has an outstanding trunk girth, as well as an impressive canopy.

The tree is a major feature of the streetscape and provides significant visual appeal and amenity to the wider community.

The impressive, domed canopy offers substantial shading over paved surfaces, and although a common species throughout Glen Eira, given its condition, this is an outstanding example of the species for the entire municipality.
