Road resurfacing for Glen Huntly Rd from Nepean Hwy to Grange Rd

As Part of Council’s ongoing asphalt road resurfacing program, Council has engaged Parkinson Asphalting Group, on its behalf to carry out road resurfacing works in Glen Huntly Road, between Nepean Highway and Grange Rd.

Nepean Highway to Hawthorn Road

As Part of Council’s ongoing asphalt road resurfacing program, Council has engaged Parkinson Asphalting Group, on its behalf to carry out road resurfacing works in Glen Huntly Road, between Nepean Highway and Grange Rd.

Works are scheduled to commence on Sunday night 14th January 2018 through to Thursday night 18th January 2018 between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am and will be sequenced in stages as noted below.

  • Stage 1 Sunday night, Glen Huntly Rd north side Nepean Hwy to Orrong Rd
  • Stage 2 Monday night Glen Huntly Rd north side Orrong Rd to Kooyong Rd
  • Stage 3 Tuesday night Glen Huntly Rd north side Kooyong Rd to Hawthorn Rd
  • Stage 4 Wednesday night Glen Huntly Rd south side Nepean Hwy to Orrong Rd
  • Stage 5 Thursday night Resurfacing Glen Huntly Rd south side Orrong Rd to Kooyong Rd

Booran Road to Grange Road

Works are scheduled to commence on Monday night 22nd January 2018 between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am. (date to be confirmed)

Should inclement weather cause these asphalting works to be postponed, these works will be rescheduled for the following night.

As part of these resurfacing works the existing asphalt road surface will be removed and a new asphalt surface laid by the Council’s asphalting contractor. The road will be opened by the following morning for normal vehicular traffic use.

Glen Huntly Rd will have restricted parking and be closed to vehicular traffic for the works, residents and traders who require the use of their vehicles during this night time period are requested to park on the opposite side of the street to where works are scheduled or in surrounding side streets.
