Notice of the preparation of an amendment to a planning scheme — Amendment C240glen

The amendment proposes to implement the recommendations of the City of Glen Eira McKinnon Heritage Review 2023.

It does this by including 14 individual places and two precincts into the Schedule to the Heritage Overlay and amends the Statement of Significance for HO75 (Ormond and Environs Precinct) as a number of properties are proposed to be removed from HO75 and placed into separate Heritage Overlays as part of this amendment. Statements of Significance for all of the new places and precincts and the revised Statement of Significance for HO75 are proposed to be included in the Schedule to 72.04 (Documents Incorporated in this Planning Scheme).

The Glen Eira City Council as planning authority has prepared Amendment C240glen to the Glen Eira Planning Scheme.

The amendment proposes to implement the recommendations of the City of Glen Eira McKinnon Heritage Review 2023 to include 14 individual places and two precincts into the Schedule to the Heritage Overlay and amend the Statement of Significance for HO75 (Ormond and Environs Precinct) as a number of properties are proposed to be removed from HO75 and placed into separate Heritage Overlays as part of this amendment.

Any person may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment. Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

Name and contact details of submitters are required for the planning authority to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend planning authority meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.
