Glen Eira City Council (Council), acting under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 is proposing to sell the land from the 4.57 metre wide drainage and sewerage reserve adjoining 233 and 235 Poath Road, Murrumbeena, shown hatched on the plan.
Council proposes to sell the land to the adjoining property owner at 235 Poath Road, Murrumbeena, by private treaty. The land is to be sold at current market value, as assessed by Council’s valuer. Further, the purchaser must reimburse Council its costs associated with selling the land.
The sale would be dependent upon Council completing procedures pursuant to s.24A of the Subdivision Act 1988 for vesting the land in Council.
As part of its community engagement process, Council is inviting submissions on this proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing to the undersigned no later than Thursday 22 June 2023. Submissions should be addressed to:

Submissions will be considered by Council in relation to the proposal to sell the land.
Any person making a written submission is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
Following consideration of submissions, if any, Council may resolve to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land. Further, Council may also decide to sell the land to another party, in the event that submissions are received from other adjoining property owners.
