Glen Eira City Council has received a Planning Application for the land currently occupied by the Calvary Bethlehem Hospital in Caulfield South.

The land affected by this planning application is located at:

  • 472 and 476–482 Kooyong Road and 11 Saturn Street, Caulfield South VIC 3162

The Planning Application is for:

  • Construction of buildings and works (ranging from 3 to 19 storeys) and use of the land as a hospital, retirement village, residential aged care facility and child care centre with associated car parking and reduction of the bicycle parking requirement

The applicant for the Planning Permit is:

  • LCM Calvary Health Care Holdings Ltd

Any person who may be affected by the approval of the planning application may make a submission to the Responsible Authority.

A submission must :

  • be in writing and sent to the Responsible Authority;
  • include the reasons for the submission;
  • state how the submitter will be affected; and
  • quote the reference number listed above

A submission can be sent to the Planning Department, Glen Eira City Council, PO Box 42, Caulfield South 3162 or alternatively lodged online via Glen Eira City Council website.

Please note that in the case of a submission via a petition or one with multiple signatories (ie. more than two signatories), Council’s correspondence will be directed only to the first signatory.

You should also note that Council will make available a copy of any submission to any person to inspect during business hours if requested. Accordingly, any information contained in your submission, including personal information such as your name, address and telephone number, is not confidential or subject to the privacy legislation, and may be viewed by any person who attends Council to inspect the submissions.

A planning conference will be held in early February 2017. This will provide a forum where those who make a submission can also verbally express their views. All submitters will be sent an invitation to this meeting. The planning conference will be chaired by a Councillor and will occur prior to formal consideration of the development plan by Council.
