Keeping our businesses COVIDSafe

Our local businesses are foundational pillars of the Glen Eira community. Council is dedicated to ensuring that business owners and operators are supported with access to resources they need to grow and thrive.

We understand the current restrictions are impacting many businesses. For those businesses that are open now and those that will open once restrictions ease, we want you to be fully supported with the latest advice to keep trading safely.

The State Government has funded the COVID-19 Business Concierge and Hospitality Support Program to help businesses make contact tracing as clear as possible.

To assist, Council has enlisted a small team that will be visiting local businesses to help them ensure they have the latest advice regarding the Victorian Government COVIDSafe practises.

All businesses are now required to use the Victorian Government QR Code Service (unless an exemption applies). Checking in via the QR code is the best way to help stop the spread of coronavirus and protect our businesses and each other.

It’s important that businesses ensure clients, customers and visitors check-in on arrival. If you’re a local business wanting help with following COVIDSafe regulations, such as setting up a QR code or making your business as COVIDSafe as possible, contact our COVID-19 business and hospitality support officers on 9524 3333 or via email at cityfutures@gleneira.vic.gov.au
