Join the reuse movement and host a garage sale

Registrations for the 2019 Garage Sale Trail are now open. It’s estimated around 400,000 Australians will take part this year, rehoming more than four million kilograms of various items and saving them from going to landfill.

Reusing clothes, household and garden items extends the life of household goods by someone else owning them instead of sending them to landfill. It also preserves our planet’s precious resources through less demand for new products.

Join the reuse movement and host a garage sale on Saturday 19 October and Sunday 20 October. It’s free and anyone can do it — households, community groups, whole streets, schools and local businesses.

You can fundraise for a cause or make yourself a few extra dollars, so why not declutter your space and let someone else love your stuff.
