International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On 27 January, International Holocaust Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

We pay our respects to Holocaust victims, survivors, and their families, and acknowledge the importance of keeping Holocaust memory alive. We stand with the Holocaust survivors of Victoria, and the world, in commemorating this date and appreciate the significance of preserving their voices for future generations.

To acknowledge the anniversary of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we will illuminate Glen Eira Town Hall yellow.

To learn more about the Holocaust, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum has developed a carefully curated online tour for you to explore and reflect on the many lives lost and the experiences of survivors. We encourage you to visit the Melbourne Holocaust Museum’s website.
