The Community Place Project 2026–2027 is now open and we're inviting community members, schools, traders and community groups to share ideas that could enhance public spaces in and around Glen Eira's activity centres. Selected projects will receive support from Council to help turn local ideas into reality.

Previous Community Place Project ideas have been brought to life as murals, street libraries, public art installations and other creative projects that celebrate local character and bring people together. This year, we're looking for practical, community-focused ideas that create positive local impact and encourage people to spend time in our activity centres.

You don't need to be an artist, designer or project manager to apply. If your idea is shortlisted, we will work with you to explore how it can be delivered and provide the resources and support needed to bring it to life.
