Going Circular Program

Local Glen Eira businesses have taken part in our latest Going Circular training program.

The six-week online course is designed to help local businesses uncover the benefits of the circular economy.

Delivered in partnership with Cirque Du Soil, the program provided expert guidance, networking opportunities and tailored support to help participants identify ways to reduce waste, attract customers and improve business performance.

Businesses that completed the program include:

  • The Little Village Grocer
  • Japenoch Pty Ltd
  • 28 Seconds Café
  • KimiKim Organics
  • Hannoi Hannah Vol II
  • Sustainability for Kids
  • Apteka
  • Miki Hair Studio
  • La Rosee Sucree Pty Ltd

What is the circular economy?

In a circular economy, we move away from the traditional “takemakeusedispose” model by designing out waste from the start. Instead of becoming landfill, materials are recovered, reprocessed and reused in a continuous loop — keeping resources in use for longer and reducing the need for virgin materials.

Glen Eira Circular Business Network

With three successful cohorts now complete, we’ve built a strong community of 30 local business leaders committed to making Glen Eira more sustainable. To keep this momentum going, we’re launching the Glen Eira Circular Business Network — a space for businesses to connect, share knowledge and collaborate through regular events and an online group.

All local businesses are welcome to join. For more information and to sign up, visit Glen Eira Circular Business Network or email sustainablebusiness@gleneira.vic.gov.au

This work is part of our Circular Economy Plan, which supports local businesses to reduce waste and keep resources in use for longer — helping us build a more sustainable Glen Eira.
