Glen Eira City Council is currently undertaking a review of the Glen Eira Planning Scheme and we are looking for feedback from the community.

Glen Eira City Council is currently undertaking a review of the Glen Eira Planning Scheme and we are looking for feedback from the community. We would like to hear your views on what the key town planning issues are and how you feel these can be addressed. Submissions can be made to Council until 31 May.

The Glen Eira Planning Scheme is a legal document that contains Council’s overarching vision for future land use and development within the municipality. It contains a range of tools that aid Council in making decisions on where and how land can be developed.

The review aims to test the continued relevance and applicability of all Council town planning policies, strategies and controls.

Glen Eira Planning Scheme ReviewA Discussion Paper has been produced to initiate discussion on some common town planning issues. We welcome your thoughts on these topics and encourage you to raise any additional planning issues that you think are relevant. The paper is available on Council’s website.

Paper copies are also available at Council’s Service Centre and libraries:

Glen Eira Town Hall Corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield
Bentleigh Library 161 Jasper Road, Bentleigh
Carnegie Library 7 Shepparson Avenue, Carnegie
Caulfield Library Corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield

Community participation is an important part of the review process. You are invited to attend any of the following Community Engagement Meetings which will be held at various times and locations throughout the municipality. These have been arranged to allow Glen Eira residents, business owners and other stakeholders to discuss and debate town planning issues.
