Championing Glen Eira’s priorities

We’re making sure Glen Eira’s priorities are heard ahead of the Victorian state election.

We held our Working Together for Glen Eira Advocacy Breakfast on Thursday 1 October, bringing together Members of Parliament (MPs), Victorian state election candidates, community leaders, local organisations and sporting clubs to talk about what matters to our community and what Glen Eira needs for the future.

The conversation focused on more open space, better community facilities and transport connections and safe, inclusive communities. This includes a new neighbourhood park and improvements to Mackie Road Reserve in the Bentleigh electorate, transforming the former Elsternwick Club site and delivering the Elsternwick Green Link in the Caulfield electorate, and a new neighbourhood park at Ames Avenue and revitalising Koornang Road in the Oakleigh electorate.

Community representatives also had the opportunity to ask questions and share what matters to them directly with Councillors, candidates and elected representatives.

The breakfast is one part of our work to advocate for Glen Eira ahead of the Victorian state election on 28 November. Through our advocacy, we’re helping candidates understand what our community needs and where Victorian Government support can make a difference.

We’ll continue championing Glen Eira’s priorities and seeking support for the projects and investment our community needs now and into the future.
