Celebrating Glen Eira’s Five Star Safe Food winners

Some of Glen Eira’s food businesses have been recognised for going above and beyond to keep our community safe.

Food is part of everyday life in Glen Eira — it brings people together, supports local businesses and helps create a vibrant community.

The FiveStar Safe Food Program recognises businesses that go beyond minimum food safety requirements. It highlights the operators who take extra care in how food is prepared, handled and served, every day.

These businesses show a strong commitment to their customers, their staff and the wider community. Their efforts help ensure that people can enjoy eating out with confidence.

Each Five Star rating reflects consistent work behind the scenes  from welltrained staff and strong food safety systems, to attention to detail. While customers may not always see these efforts, they play a vital role in protecting public health.

This year, Arda Turkish Cuisine received top honours, being named 2026 Shop of the Year after achieving the highest overall food safety performance. Murrumbeena Pantry was awarded Shop of the Year Runner Up

Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients  and thank you for helping make Glen Eira a great place to eat.
