The land affected by the Amendment is 259 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield North.

The land affected by the Application is 259 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield North.

The Amendment proposes to include the land at 259 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield North in the Schedule to Clause 52.02 with a requirement to vary the wording of the covenant contained in Instrument 0888051 to enable the development and use of the land for an Education Centre.

The Application is for the development and use of the land for the purpose of an Education Centre, reduction of the car and bicycle parking requirements, display of a business identification sign and alteration of access to a road in a Road Zone Category 1.

The applicant for the permit is Maureen Jackson Planning on behalf of Shelford Girls Grammar School.

You may inspect the Amendment, the Explanatory Report about the Amendment, the Application, and any documents that support the Amendment and the Application, including the proposed permit, free of charge, at the following locations:

  • During office hours, at the office of the planning authority, Glen Eira City Council, Caulfield Town Hall, corner of Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield; and
  • On the Glen Eira City Council website; www.gleneira.vic.gov.au: and
  • On the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website, www.delwp.vic.gov.au/public-inspection

Any person who may be affected by the Amendment or by the granting of the permit may make a submission to the planning authority about the Amendment and the Application.

Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address (email address, if possible), clearly stating the grounds on which the Amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

Name and contact details of submitters are required for Council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.

The closing date for submissions is: 24 December 2018

The planning authority must make a copy of every submission available at its office for any person to inspect free of charge, during office hours, until the end of two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses.
