To support this, we’ve developed an Accessible Communications Blueprint. It builds on the work we’re already doing and strengthens our approach, making communication clearer, more inclusive and easier to use. 

People have told us they want information that is easier to find and understand, clearer explanations of Council decisions, and more accessible ways to be involved. We’ve also worked closely with our Disability Reference Network, whose feedback has helped shape how we can better meet different communication needs. 

The Blueprint brings this together into a more consistent approach across Council. It guides how we design, deliver and share information across everything we do — including our website and digital platforms, social media and emails, printed materials and signage, and our conversations with the community.
