Proposed sale of land adjoining 12 and 14 Doris Street and 2/52 Murrumbeena Crescent, Murrumbeena.

Glen Eira City Council (Council) acting under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 ("the Act"), proposes to sell the following land:

  • The former drainage and sewerage reserve adjoining the side of 12 and 14 Doris Street, Murrumbeena, more particularly known as Lots 1 and 2 on Plan of Subdivision PS813720G, shown hatched on the plan below.
  • The former drainage and sewerage reserve adjoining the rear of 2/52 Murrumbeena Crescent and 14 Doris Street, Murrumbeena, more particularly known as Lot 1 on Plan of Subdivision PS 816481G, shown cross-hatched on the plan below.

It is Council’s intention to sell the land to the owners of the adjoining properties by private treaty.

In accordance with section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing to the undersigned by no later than Thursday 26 July 2018. Submissions should be addressed to:

Submissions may also be delivered to Council’s Service Centre, corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at a meeting of Council or its Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by Council.

Any person making a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land.
