We’re creating public open space for our community to enjoy on Porter Road in Bentleigh.
We bought three adjoining properties (15, 17 and 19) on Porter Road back in 2021.
With around 2,000 square metres of space — about the size of Memorial Park in Caulfield North — it’s a great opportunity for a future neighbourhood park.
The land has been cleared and is open for community use while we work on securing the funds needed to fully transform it into a park.
This site will play a crucial role in providing open spaces for our community to enjoy, and our expanding focus on indigenous flora, natural gardens, and the enhancement of local biodiversity.
Check back for updates.
The long-term designs of the space, which includes lawns, play equipment, seating and picnic spots, were developed in collaboration with the community in 2023 and endorsed by Council in late 2023.
Find out more about the engagement process.
Future long-term upgrades to the space are subject to funding.
We’re continuing to advocate to the Victorian and Australian Government’s for funding to support future upgrades to the space. Read more about our advocacy efforts and priorities.
