Mimosa Road, Carnegie open space

We’re creating public open space for our community to enjoy on Mimosa Road in Carnegie.

We purchased 93 Mimosa Road in April 2025 and in the second half of the year, we removed the house.

The area will be open for community use in early 2026, once the new grass seeds have been given time to establish.

We’ll continue to work on securing the funds needed to fully transform it into a park. This site will play a crucial role in providing open spaces for our community to enjoy, and our expanding focus on indigenous flora, natural gardens, and the enhancement of local biodiversity.

Funding

Future long-term upgrades to the space are subject to funding.

We’re continuing to advocate to the Victorian and Australian Government’s for funding to support future upgrades to the space. Read more about our advocacy efforts and priorities.
