We’re working with local suppliers and original designers to carefully recreate three memorial plaques in Caulfield Park that were removed in an act of vandalism in April 2026.
We know how much these memorials mean to our community. They honour service and sacrifice and recognise both Australian military history and Jewish heritage, and are an important piece of local history.
Due to the size and level of detail involved, this work will take some time to complete, with reinstatement expected in the second half of 2026.
We’ll keep this page updated as the works progress.
We remain committed to keeping Caulfield Park a safe, welcoming and respectful place for everyone to enjoy. We know their return will help re-establish a space where people can come together to remember, reflect and connect with our shared history.
The vandalism was reported to Victoria Police and remains under investigation. We encourage anyone with information to contact Victoria Police.
