    Booran Reserve sand pit and playground upgrades

    We are preparing to upgrade the sand pit and playground at Booran Reserve in Glen Huntly, so that we can reactivate the sensory water play area.

    What is happening? 

    Works include:

    • Closing the bottom sand pit and replacing it with a new deck.
    • Building a new fence along the southern edge of the top sandpit.
    • Reinstating the existing water play elements including a manual water pump, water spiral and water gates in a pebble stream.
    • Mulching the nearby garden beds and upgrading the nearby drainage.

    Timing

    Works are due to begin on Monday 1 June 2026 and will be completed by late June 2026, weather permitting.
