Autumn Teen School Holiday Program

Activities are open to young people aged 12 to up to 18 years old. All participants must Live, Work or Study in the City of Glen Eira. Bookings open 9am Tuesday 15 March and close 9am Friday 25 March. 

The running of all activities will be subject to current COVID-19 restrictions, as detailed by the Victorian State Government and Glen Eira City Council. In the event where an activity is unable to go ahead due to said restrictions, Youth Services will issue full refunds to ticket holders.

We follow the State Government public health advice and Chief Health Officer directives. This includes implementing COVID-19 vaccine requirements for Council managed facilities. Check-in is available via QR code and proof of vaccination will be required for any attendees over the age of 12 + 2 months.

Bookings for activities are made online and places are limited.


The Cook Up @ Online via Zoom

Tuesday 12 April

By popular demand, our online cooking class is back these holidays! Join us from your very own kitchen to learn some tips and tricks to impress. This class will focus on party food, tune in these holidays to learn how to make some delicious treats to share.

Time: 11am to 1pm
What to bring: Ingredients and equipment on the list sent out by our team, apron, and clean hands
Location: Zoom (link and ingredients list sent out 2 weeks prior to activity)
Cost: Free

Note: Parental supervision is required for this activity


Netball and GESAC class @ GESAC

Wednesday 13 April

We are exploring Glen Eira these school holidays! Meet us at GESAC for a game of Netball, lunch and then an afternoon activity upstairs in the group fitness centre.

Time: 9am to 1pm
What to bring: Lunch or lunch money, sports shoes, water bottle, hat, backpack, and snacks.
Drop off/Pick up: GESAC, 200 East Boundary Road, Bentleigh East
Cost: $5 or Free for Health Care Card holders


Team Trivia and Gaming @ Duncan Mackinnon Reserve

Thursday 14 April

Join us for an afternoon of team trivia and multiplayer console games at Carnegie Library. We will break to enjoy lunch together outside along Koornang Road.

Time:9am to 1pm
What to bring: Lunch or lunch money, snacks, water bottle, and your gaming spirit!
Drop off/Pick up:Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Corner North and Murumbeena Roads, Murumbeena
Cost: $5 or Free for Health Care Card holders


Glow in the Dark Sports @ GlowZone Moorabbin

Tuesday 19 April

Are you a team player? Into sports? Then this is the activity for you! We have a fantastic day at GlowZone planned for you, don’t miss out on this one.

Time: 9am to 1pm
What to bring: Myki, water bottle, hat, comfortable clothing to run around in
Drop off/Pick up: Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Corner North and Murumbeena Roads, Murumbeena
Cost: $10 or Free for Health Care Card holders

Sustainable Craft @ BMYC

Wednesday 20 April

Sustainable craft is where it’s at these holidays. Join us for a crafternoon filled with nature, garden activities, creativity and fun!

Time: 1pm to 5pm
What to bring: Snacks, water bottle, hat, clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy
Drop off/Pick up: Bentleigh McKinnon Youth Centre, 1–5 Higgins Road, Bentleigh
Cost: $5 or Free for Health Care Card holders


Day Out @ Southland (meet at BMYC)

Thursday 21 April

It wouldn’t be a School Holiday Program without a classic Southland trip. We will walk as a group and catch the train to Southland shopping centre, where we will see a new release film, have lunch at the Food Court and play some Arcade games!

Time: 9am to 5pm
What to bring: Myki, lunch or lunch money, good walking shoes, water bottle, hat, and backpack.
Drop off/Pick up: Bentleigh McKinnon Youth Centre, 1–5 Higgins Road, Bentleigh
Cost: $10 or Free for Health Care Card holders
