Activities are open to young people aged 12 up to 17 years old with a connection to Glen Eira. Bookings open Monday 8 June at 9am and close Friday 19 June at 5pm

All ability Basketball @ GESAC

Tuesday 30 June

Join us at GESAC this winter as we play basketball with a whole new perspective. Learn the incredible sport of Wheelchair basketball. This fun and inclusive activity is perfect for young people of all abilities to learn new skills, build confidence, and experience the thrill of fast-paced team sport. Come along, make new friends, and discover how fun and empowering wheelchair basketball can be! No experience using a wheelchair needed.

Time: 10am–12pm

What also to bring: Snacks (if required), water bottle, enclosed shoes 

Drop off/Pick up: Glen Eira Sports & Aquatic Centre, 200 East Boundary Road, Bentleigh East

Cost: $6.50 or Free for Health Care Card holders


DJ Workshop

Wednesday 1 July 

Come down for a DJ workshop hosted by The Push, where young people are introduced to the basics of DJing, music mixing, and live performance. Participants will get hands-on experience using DJ equipment, learn how to blend tracks, with live demonstrations and practical exercises on the DJ decks.

Time: 10.30am–12.30pm

Prison Island Melbourne Experience

Thursday 2 July

Join us for a trip to Prison Island Melbourne, where young people can test their skills, solve puzzles, and tackle fun physical challenges in a series of interactive rooms! It’s the perfect mix of fun, strategy, and adventure so book your ticket now and get ready to unlock the challenge!

Ice Skating @ O’Briens Icehouse

Tuesday 7 July

Glide into fun these school holidays with an exciting trip to O’Brien Icehouse in Docklands! Doesn’t matter if you’ve never skated before, participants will have the chance to hit the ice, build confidence, and enjoy the thrill of skating. Don’t miss out on this cool adventure, lace up your skates and join us on the rink!

Please note helmets are mandatory on the ice, participants may use their own bike helmets if acquired.

Time: 10.15am–2pm

What to bring: BYO snacks, lunch, water bottle, MYKI card

FIFA 2026 World Cup Tournament

SpudBAR Cooking Class @ Murrumbeena

Join a fun, hands-on cooking session where participants create their own healthy loaded baked potatoes, inspired by the SpudBAR concept. Add a variety of topping such as ground beef mince, sour cream, a lot of cheese and more and see why this food phenomenon took off!

Holidays feeling quiet? Tune in to this one: We're hosting an EPIC SHOWDOWN for young artists in Glen Eira. See the council's best young bands, duos and solo performers battle it out for the favour of the judges and crowd at the 2026 Music Mayhem.
