Press Start video games and movie at Southland
Tuesday 11 April
In honour of our Press Start community based program, get your 150cc engines revving and join us at the Bentleigh Library and Youth Hub for a circuit of video games followed by the Super Mario Bros. movie at Southland Village Cinemas.
Time: 10am to 4pm
What to bring: Myki for the train, BYO lunch or lunch money, snacks, water bottle, hat, comfy clothes, and shoes for walking.

Bowling and Laser Tag
Wednesday 12 April
This day will blow you out of the park with double the fun, with bowling and laser tag in one fun filled day. We will be travelling to Melbourne Central by train, where we will then play two games of each. This will be a lot of fun, don’t miss out!

Cones Studio hand building workshop
Thursday 13 April
If you’re into ceramics and messy craft, this activity is for you! We are lucky enough to have Cones Studio in Bentleigh open their doors to a select few for a hand building workshop. What is hand building you ask? Hand building is a ceramics technique that allows you to create forms with clay and your hands, without using a throwing wheel. Participants in this activity will be taking home their own piece.
Time: 12pm to 4pm
What to bring: BYO lunch or lunch money, snacks, water bottle, hat, clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy, and shoes for walking.

Self-defence martial arts class
Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 April
Join a fun and active self-defence martial arts class for beginners and beyond! This class is designed to build self-confidence and skills in conflict resolution. Martial arts will teach you how to remain calm and focused during high pressure environments and basic skills for personal safety. Please note this activity will run over two days.
*Themes around self-defence may include language and lessons around personal safety that may be of a sensitive nature.
Parental discretion is advisable when booking this activity.
Time: 1pm to 3pm

Food craft at the hub

What is craft? A craft is traditionally a hobby or an occupation that requires workers to produce an item. Crafts can include — wait for it — FOOD. Yes, and we are doing it. We will be making bugs and houses out of food and finishing off with colourful pancake art. Book now to see what creative munchables are on the menu this term.
