Summer Teen School Holiday Program

Activities are open to young people aged 12 to 18 years old. All participants must Live, Work or Study in the City of Glen Eira. Bookings open 9am Monday 7 December and close 9am Monday 14 December. 

Bookings for activities are made online and places are limited. Book through Trybooking using the button. 

Youth Services — AUS OPEN

Tuesday 12 January 2021

Channel your inner tennis champion and join youth services for a morning on the court. We’ll be playing games such as King of the Court, Mini tennis, bucket and Knock Out! This will be an opportunity to have a friendly rally, and whilst extensive tennis experience isn’t necessary for participation, for your enjoyment, some experience is recommended! And remember it’s BYO racquet.

Time: 10am to 12pm
What to bring: tennis racquet, activewear, water bottle, hat, sunscreen

Lawn bowls

Regardless of what you’ve heard, lawn bowls is a sport for all ages. Whether you’ve played before or want to try it for the first time, join us on the green for some chilled-out school holiday vibes. We’ll have some experienced bowlers to show us the tricks of the trade, so you’ll be bowling like a professional in no time!

Time: 11am to 1pm
What to bring: flat-soled shoes/runner, activewear, water bottle, hat, sunscreen

Glaze it

Let your imagination flow and come along to our Glaze it excursion! You’ll have the opportunity to choose your own ceramic masterpiece and, more importantly, Glaze it! This is a great way to harness your creativity and unwind these school holidays.

Time: 11am to 1pm
What to bring: clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy and a water bottle.

Workout and Swim

We worked out online last school holidays, but this time around join us for an in-person work out and swim! You’ll start off with a super fun workout - which we think is a great way to get moving again after your holiday celebrations. This will be followed by a well-deserved, refreshing SWIM in the GESAC pool!

Time: 1pm to 3pm
What to bring: activewear, bathers, water bottle, hat, sunscreen and towel.
Drop off/pick up location: Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (main entrance).


Gardening Hang-out in the park

Calling all green-thumbs! Youth Services is getting back to nature with some gardening in the park! Not only will you get to hang-out with the Youth Services team and friends, but at the end of the activity, you’ll also be taking home your very own herb garden! Who needs more encourage-mint?

Movie Time!

Finally — ​we are heading back to the Movies! The school holiday classic is back, but this time it’s at the Classic! Meet at the Classic Cinema in Elsternwick (across the road from Elsternwick train station) and watch one of the latest school holiday releases.

Time: 12pm to 3pm
What to bring: Water bottle
Drop off/pick up location: Classic Cinemas Elsternwick, 9 Gordon Street, Elsternwick
