Bulk cardboard collection

Have a lot of cardboard to recycle? Residential households can book 3 free bulk cardboard collections every financial year.

How to book a bulk cardboard collection

  1. Book your collection online here or call customer service on 9524 3333
  2. Flatten cardboard boxes and bundle pieces together by tying some string around them.
  3. Place the bundle of cardboard out on the nature strip the night before collection (bin night in your area).

Quick information:

  • Bulk cardboard is collected on bin collection day in your area.
  • Bookings can be made from one week to one day in advance.
  • You need to submit your booking before midnight prior to your collection day. For example, if bins are emptied on a Monday in your street, you need to submit your booking before 11.59pm Sunday.
  • Remember to always double check size limits and guidelines on the Hard rubbish, branches and cardboard webpage before making a booking.

Other cardboard disposal options:

  • Most Waste Transfer Stations have free cardboard recycling for domestic amounts, check with your nearest facility for details.
  • For small volumes, cut up cardboard into smaller pieces and flatten boxes so they can be recycled in your yellow recycling bin.
