Submit RFI or ask for more time

If we need more information about your planning permit application, we'll send you a request for further information.

On this page

Why did I receive a request for further information?

Your urban planner has reviewed your application and they need more information about your proposal to be able to properly assess it. They will review the application generally within 28 days of when you lodged it. If there are any concerns about the proposal, these are likely to be identified as part of this request.

A request for further information will not be asked for every application. To best avoid a request for further information, use our checklists or request pre-application advice before you lodge.

Log into your account to respond to a request for further information.

When is my response due?

Generally, you must provide the requested information within 30 days, but this may vary depending on the level of information required.

If you don't provide the requested information by the due date, the application will lapse and we can't assess it any further. In this case, you must lodge a new planning permit application including all fees and information.

What if I need more time to respond?

If you need more time to provide the information, please email mail@gleneira.vic.gov.au before the due date.

Your request must include:

  • the reason you need more time
  • a reasonable revised due date.

Please ensure that you email all requests for additional time to mail@gleneira.vic.gov.au (not to the planner directly) to ensure we can register and action it efficiently.
