More about the award categories

Emerging Business Award

We’re recognising businesses that:

  • Have been operating for less than two years (with an ABN registered no earlier than January 2023).
  • Have introduced initiatives that showcase growth, creativity, and business impact within their first two years.

If your business is paving the way for a bright future and already demonstrating impressive achievements — this category is for you.

Home-based Business

Is your home-based business thriving in Glen Eira?

This category recognises Glen Eira businesses that operate from home-based premises, whether online or mobile, and have already demonstrated incredible potential and success.

We’re recognising businesses that:

  • Not only embrace the unique challenges and opportunities of working from home but also demonstrate excellence in certain areas of the business.
  • Have excelled in one of the general award categories of Health & Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion, Customer Success, Innovation and/or Sustainability.

If your home-based business is booming and excelling in certain areas — this category is for you.

Best Charitable Program

Is your business giving back and making a difference in the community?

This category recognises Glen Eira businesses that have launched impactful charitable programs, demonstrating a true commitment to giving back and creating positive social change.

We’re celebrating businesses that:

  • Develop and implement initiatives that support local charities, causes, or community needs, making a meaningful difference.

  • Lead the way with innovative health and wellbeing initiatives or programs.
  • Actively implement strategies that support physical, mental, and/or emotional wellbeing — within their business or beyond.
