How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

Our parks and open space remain open for exercise between the permitted times 5am to 9pm.

Exercise is now limited to two hours per day and no more than five kilometres from your home. Two people or a household can meet outdoors for a maximum of two hours for exercise or recreation outside your home, as long as neither of you travel more than five kilometres from your home. Always remember to wear a face covering and practise social distancing.

Garden Avenue Park provides significant open space in Glen Huntly. It has extensive grassed areas and picnic tables for picnics, with much natural shade provided by the mature trees, shade sails and arbours.

The red and blue playground creates an energised but tranquil state of play, with equipment including:

  • tic-tac-toe
  • monkey bars
  • wave slide
  • a see-saw
  • spinners

Dog leash information

Garden Avenue Reserve is an on-leash area, which means you must keep your dog on-leash at all times.
