Duncan Mackinnon Reserve

Duncan Mackinnon Reserve is one of Glen Eira's most elite sporting precincts. The reserve consists of 10 competition netball courts, an IAAF compliant athletics track, state of the art pavilion (available for community hire), outdoor fitness station and a 1.2km walking track around the perimeter.

Sports Grounds and Sports Clubs

Duncan Mackinnon Reserve has 2 sporting fields which cater for cricket in the summer (synthetic) and football (AFL) in the winter. 

The athletics track is home to the Caulfield Little Athletics Club, Glenhuntly Athletics Club, Maccabi Athletics Club and Victorian Masters Athletics Club while the netball courts is home to Caulfield District Netball Association.

Playground

The playground at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve serves play opportunities for the local community. The play space offers:

  • slides
  • swings
  • spinners
  • monkey bars
  • outdoor fitness circuit
  • shade from the surrounding trees.

Outdoor Fitness Station

The new outdoor fitness station situated near the corner of Crosbie and North Roads consists of:

  • two sports bikes with touchscreens to connect your smart phone
  • two arm bikes
  • cross-training combination unit which includes:
    • climbing net
    • pull up bar
    • magnetic bells
  • two sit up benches
  • two decline benches
  • one battle rope
  • two Urban Fit Nitro stations, which includes:
    • chin up bars
    • roman rings
    • monkey bars
    • dip bars
  • cobham station — body dips and left lift station
  • jumping boxes.

Community Pavilion

The Duncan Mackinnon Reserve pavilion provides facilities for sporting clubs as well as community and meeting rooms (for hire). The pavilion has two magnificent 450 seat grandstands for watching athletics and 100 seats for watching netball. It is fully accessible and includes:

  • a community room
  • change rooms
  • public toilets
  • athletics and netball control rooms.

The community room and meeting room at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve Pavilion, accessed via the car park off North Road, is available for hire.

Dog leash information

  • The sportsgrounds at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve are designated dog off-leash areas.

  • Dogs must be on-leash within 20 metres of barbeques and picnic areas, children’s playgrounds, sports and recreation facilities, both public and sporting events (includes set up and take down), and any Park maintenance activities.

  • Dogs are not permitted within fenced playgrounds and sports and recreation facilities including the athletics track.
