How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

For the continued good health of our community and as a measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we have:

  • closed all playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment
  • turned off drinking fountains and barbecues
  • closed all sportsgrounds to all sports clubs
  • suspended bookings for our venues, parks or reserves until further notice.
The Australian Government has announced new limits on all non-essential gatherings — you can only go out for personal exercise in our parks on your own or with one other person.

Clapperton Street Park was established in the 1950’s by the former City of Moorabbin, adding to the much needed open space within Bentleigh.

Playground

The play space expands nearly the entire park and includes:

  • swings
  • climbing elements
  • seesaw springer
  • fireman's pole
  • slide

Picnic shelter

The playground is separated from the street by a shelter with a picnic table and drink fountain. This allows for both socialisation and relaxation opportunities.

Dog leash information

Clapperton Street Park is an on-leash area, which means you must keep your dog on leash at all times.
