How is COVID-19 impacting our parks?

Our parks and open space remain open for exercise between the permitted times 5am to 9pm.

Exercise is now limited to two hours per day and no more than five kilometres from your home. Two people or a household can meet outdoors for a maximum of two hours for exercise or recreation outside your home, as long as neither of you travel more than five kilometres from your home. Always remember to wear a face covering and practise social distancing.

To find out how the Victorian Government Stay at Home Stage 4 restrictions has impacted our facilities visit our Parks and playgrounds — Stage 4 restrictions page.

Clapperton Street Park was established in the 1950’s by the former City of Moorabbin, adding to the much needed open space within Bentleigh.

The play space expands nearly the entire park and includes:

  • swings
  • climbing elements
  • seesaw springer
  • fireman's pole
  • slide

Picnic shelter

The playground is separated from the street by a shelter with a picnic table and drink fountain. This allows for both socialisation and relaxation opportunities.

Dog leash information

Clapperton Street Park is an on-leash area, which means you must keep your dog on leash at all times.
