These 6 trees form a unique row of indigenous specimens planted as street trees. Planted alongside a park, they are a key feature of the area with 5 of the 6 trees original plantings from approximately 1945.

Several of these mature trees are of outstanding size for either trunk girth, height or canopy spread within the context of the local area. They are all individually significant as established street trees providing significant canopy coverage and collectively, they are particularly striking within the landscape. They make a major contribution to the neighbourhood character and provide substantial amenity to the community.

As flowering native trees, they are a vital food resource for wildlife in the area and are used as nesting and roosting habitat for birds.
