Your Story — storytelling workshops for young people

Glen Eira Youth Services is offering the Your Story program to young people in Glen Eira who are interested in storytelling.

The program, which is open to young people aged 10 to 25 who live, work or study in Glen Eira, will offer a series of interactive workshops focusing on building skills and connecting young people with opportunities and platforms to share their stories.

Your Story will:

  • provide opportunities for young people to come together and share views and stories about key topics relating to young people;
  • offer a space to learn to write creatively about personal journeys, insights, and experiences; and
  • provide assistance to submit work to local competitions, such as ABC Takeover Melbourne and Council’s My Brother Jack Awards.

The Your Story program will be held periodically on Thursdays during the school term from 4pm to 5.30pm at McKinnon Library and Youth Services — Djeembana Room, 169A McKinnon Road, McKinnon.
