We welcome a $3 million Victorian state election commitment towards upgrades to the McKinnon Reserve Pavilion in McKinnon.
We’ve been advocating for investment in McKinnon Reserve to all candidates across the political spectrum to help deliver more modern, accessible and sustainable facilities for our community.
We’re pleased to welcome Liberal candidate for Bentleigh Tynan Putt’s Victorian state election commitment of $3 million towards upgrades to McKinnon Reserve Pavilion (E.M.C Fox Pavilion) in McKinnon if elected.
The funding would support a range of improvements to the pavilion, including:
Glen Eira Mayor Cr Dr Simone Zmood said investment in local sporting facilities can deliver benefits across the community.
“Local sporting facilities are about more than what happens on the field. They’re places where people connect, participate and feel part of their community. These upgrades would help ensure McKinnon Reserve continues to be a welcoming and accessible place for everyone.”
As the Victorian state election approaches, we’ll continue advocating to all parties and candidates for the projects and priorities that matter to our community and sharing commitments as they are announced.
Council does not endorse any political party or candidate. We welcome support for our advocacy priorities and encourage other candidates to support them too.
