Register now for Council’s BusEd Program

Registrations are now open for the first intake of Glen Eira City Council’s BusEd Program for 2021.

The Program, which is run in partnership with Monash and Swinburne Universities, Holmesglen Institute and Victorian Institute of Technology, provides Glen Eira businesses the opportunity to access the skills of students to help support their digital development.

This year will be the first time that students from the Victorian Institute of Technology participate in the Program, further expanding the range and scope of projects that businesses can undertake.

Glen Eira Mayor Cr Margaret Esakoff said in 2020, more than 70 local businesses worked collaboratively with IT student teams to develop customised websites, databases and software.

“The Program helped businesses create or update their online presence, develop new ways of interacting with customers, sell their products online and streamline their information management and business processes,” she said.

“Through these projects, students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a real business challenge and work with a real client.”

There is no cost for business owners to participate in the BusED Program, however they will need to invest some time to gain the best possible outcome.

For further information, contact Council’s BusEd Program co-ordinator on 03 9524 3333, email cityfutures@gleneira.vic.gov.au or visit our BusED Program webpage.
