Reappointment of the CEO

At a Council Meeting on Tuesday 3 September, Council unanimously resolved to reappoint Rebecca McKenzie as its Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term, commencing in February 2020.

Glen Eira Mayor Cr Jamie Hyams said Glen Eira has always been a high-performing Council, but under Rebecca McKenzie, there has been a transformation that has improved the Council in many significant ways — in our culture and how we serve our community.

“There have been numerous initiatives and innovations that will ensure Glen Eira continues to be a great place to live and work,” he said.

“We look forward to continuing to work for the community with Rebecca and her talented and committed Directors and staff, as we take Glen Eira into what I’m sure will be a bright future.”

Rebecca McKenzie commenced her role as Glen Eira City Council CEO in February 2016.
