Council proposes to sell the land from the previously discontinued road to adjoining property owners at 63 Downshire Road and 54 Shoobra Road, Elsternwick, by private treaty.

As part of its Community Engagement process Council is inviting submissions on this proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing to the undersigned no later than 5pm on Monday 18 August 2025. Submissions should be addressed to:

Submissions may also be delivered to Council’s Service Centre, corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield, or emailed to submissions@gleneira.vic.gov.au.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at a meeting of Council or a Committee of Council on a date, time and place to be determined by Council.

Any person making a written submission is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Following consideration of submissions, if any, Council may resolve to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land.
