Princes Park play space opens to the public

We thank you for your patience and hope you’re delighted with the refreshed design.

The play space features new play equipment including:

• timber swings;
• musical pieces;
• boardwalks and turnover bars;
• an accessible carousel; and
• climbing nets.

Favourite features of the older design are still there, like the slides, swings and climbing elements.

We redeveloped the basketball area with skateable surfaces, plus a netball area, training zones and fitness equipment.

We kept mature trees to preserve the urban forest canopy and natural shade and added integrated seating to make things more comfortable for those who prefer to observe.

This project was done in partnership with the Victorian Government though the Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program.
