Have you ordered your Crime Prevention Kit?

Council has partnered with Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Watch and the Neighbourhood House Network to develop the Living Safely Program. The Program aims to help reduce three of the most common crimes in Glen Eira — theft of items from cars, car theft and home burglary.

As part of the Program, a Crime Prevention Kit has been developed, providing practical steps that you can take to help:

  • keep your home and car safe and secure;
  • deter opportunistic thieves; and
  • prevent yourself from becoming a victim of crime.

The Crime Prevention Kit contains a home security checklist and a wheelie bin sticker with crime prevention messaging to remind residents and their neighbours to lock their homes and cars.
