GEL Advisory Committee: Industry skills-based representative

We're seeking expressions of interest from industry skills-based representatives who would like to be part of the Glen Eira Leisure (GEL) Advisory Committee.

The Committee meets four times per year to enhance the performance of GEL and mitigate risks associated with its operational scale, particularly after the Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool redevelopment.

The Committee will have specific roles and responsibilities, including:

  • Reviewing Quarterly Service Performance Reports
  • Advising on Annual Business Plans, Budgets, and Strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with audit requirements
  • Enhancing risk management and internal control practices.

  • Level of involvement in the wider community with strong community networks and connections.
  • Familiarity with leisure facility operations and community programming.
