Green Link (Ripon Grove) in Elsternwick active travel and biodiversity improvements (completed)

We’ve improved Ripon Grove to make it safer, greener and more pleasant for people walking and riding bikes.

What is happening?

Works will include:

  • upgrading the existing raised bluestone garden bed
  • formalising the cycling path between Hotham Street and Ripon Grove Road, including installing new kerb
  • increasing greenery and planting new shrubs

When is it happening?

Works will begin on Monday 30 March and will be completed by Thursday 30 April, weather permitting.

What are the impacts?

Works will take place weekdays between 7am and 4pm. During this time, there will be some dust and noise, but our contractors will do their best to minimise it.

The footpath at the Hotham Street end of Ripon Grove will be closed for short periods throughout the works. The sections of path where works are not being undertaken will remain open. Please follow the onsite signage when travelling through the area.

Kerbside waste collections will continue as usual. Please place your bins out on their scheduled collection day.

Trees and shrubs surround the area, with tall trees forming a backdrop. The road includes painted circular traffic-calming markings and a central bollard. A fence runs along the left footpath, and houses are visible in the background.
